MISSION:

The promotion of cost-effective maritime transport services in order to enable Member States to control the cost of maritime transport for their foreign trade;

• The promotion of maritime safety and security;

• The harmonization of maritime law;

• The capacity building of maritime transport stakeholders;

• The sustainable financing of the maritime transport industry;

• The facilitation of transit transport to
landlocked Member States.

VISION:

To be the leading sub-regional organization in Africa working towards the realization of the maritime objectives and aspirations of Member States.
